Mercy Rewrote My Life

The man was bludgeoning through life

Determined to achieve his vision somehow.

With Faith in his heart

Confessing the Word of God with his mouth

He was constantly moving constantly striving

So sure he was as he keeps striding the shut doors will swing open

Mountains looming in front of him will miraculously disappear

If there was a bridge to be passed a boat will appear to take him across

Funds he will need will just ooze into his hands

All things are possible to him who believes he would say.

God in his infinite wisdom

Caught him by the collar

Slow down slow down my boy not so fast there is a lot you need to learn

And sure enough sickness came his way

This arrested his movements

It was a long slow recovery

A rest from his dreams

His daily routine was rerouted.

New tasks he never had to do before

He had to do now.

"Lord what is this why this halt

You know the long journey I have to go"! he would complain

To keep his focus to keep himself from giving up

He exposed himself to study.

That when he realised why the period of rest came

Philemon 6 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

6 [And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus [and unto His glory].

Mercy rewrote my life he once said to his friend

It was just all about selfish me all the time

My goals, my dreams, my vision

I would have lost my life in my sickness considering the load of stress I was drawing to myself by the minute

But now I understand the greater calling of my life

To share the about God‘s Mercy to one and all.
