From This Day Forth

Sitting by the window and reading her bible early morning,
Miriam almost laughed to herself.
She was reading Hagai 2:19, the verse ended by saying," From this day forth I will bless you"
She read no further, looking up she contemplated her life
Alone, single, businesswoman, struggling to get her stocks, out of the door.
Fate, seemed cruel to the core, and specially after her break up
She hardly felt anything like beautiful!
Nor. did she believe in love and marriage anymore!
Just then, the bell rang and surprise, surprise it was the new pastor from church at the door!.
Looking rather sheepish,“I was passing by and I felt a tug, by, God’s spirit to share a verse with you.” he said. She let him in.
.
Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.
Shocked she sat dumb face, ash white
“It can’t be, she thought to herself,” “I was just reading the same verse a moment ago”, he continued reading.
"This is how God says he will bless you, Miriam,"
He went on to read Hosea 14:5-8 ...GNT..
I will be to the people of Israel
like rain in a dry land.They will blossom like flowers;
they will be firmly rooted like the trees of Lebanon.
6 They will be alive with new growth, and beautiful like olive trees.
They will be fragrant like the cedars of Lebanon.
7 Once again they will live under my protection. They will grow crops of grain and be fruitful like a vineyard.
They will be as famous as the wine of Lebanon.
Saying this, he left; Miriam sat in a daze,She felt she was not spoken to by a man.
But by an angel of God,
With eyes shining brightly, through the tears.“I believe, Oh yes I do …
From this day forth!” …she said
