Friendship God's way

This post demonstrates what the bible speaks about friendships

Prov.27

[6] Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
How many of us have been afflicted by the wounds  of a friend and not gone past the same.

[9] Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.
When we share what's in our heart to our friend it brings a sort of sweetness to our soul

[10] Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.
I wonder how many of us follow this command. We live in the times of out of sight is out of mind!

[17] Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
How many of our days are made at the sight of a close friend.

Ecclesiasticus 6 KJV
[5] Sweet language will multiply friends: and a fairspeaking tongue will increase kind greetings.
We know this one,in today's world the more sweet you get you are soon in for some harsh surprises!

[7] If thou wouldest get a friend, prove him first and be not hasty to credit him.
How many of us would have saved ourselves from the agony of the ditch if we had just heeded to this command.

[8] For some man is a friend for his own occasion, and will not abide in the day of thy trouble.
How true, the people who hang around you for some advantage and you thought it was for you!

[9] And there is a friend, who being turned to enmity, and strife will discover thy reproach.
How many of our lives have been plagued in the present by former friends.

[10] Again, some friend is a companion at the table, and will not continue in the day of thy affliction.
Do you find yourself alone battling your sorrows and wonder where your companions fled.

[13] Separate thyself from thine enemies, and take heed of thy friends.
This is real good advice, take it.

[14] A faithfu1l friend is a strong defence: and he that hath found such an one hath found a treasure.
How many of us have been blessed with one such friend, very few,I must say

[15] Nothing doth countervail a faithful friend, and his excellency is invaluable.
Yea, the faithfulness of a friend is invaluable....that's why they are so rare to find!

[16] A faithful friend is the medicine of life; and they that fear the Lord shall find him.
How blessed we are , the Lord has promised us faithful friends.

[17] Whoso feareth the Lord shall direct his friendship aright: for as he is, so shall his neighbour be also.
Thank you almighty , for bringing good friends our way

Ecclesiasticus 7 KJV
[12] Devise not a lie against thy brother; neither do the like to thy friend.
Your friend is equivalent to a brother so cheat him not.

[18] Change not a friend for any good by no means; neither a faithful brother for the gold of Ophir.
Have you noticed no one is really surrounded by the same group of friend , they are changing constantly

Ecclesiasticus 9 KJV
[10] Forsake not an old friend; for the new is not comparable to him: a new friend is as new wine; when it is old, thou shalt drink it with pleasure.
My old friends its my heart's greatest desire you will always be there for me

"True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and choice."

Well said, but Shakespeare says it best
"Those friends thou hast, and their adoption tried,
Grapple them to thy soul with hoops of steel;
But do not dull thy palm with entertainment
Of each new-hatch'd, unfledg'd comrade."
- William Shakespeare
It's one the hoops of steel becomes weak, detaches and breaks away the void that is left is always there to stay!
