It was just another day

It was the day right after their anniversary
The wishes were still pouring in
The memory of their celebrations were still fresh in their minds
It was just another day nothing unusual except a pain on his shoulder as Abel got up from bed
“You strain yourself too much dear while exercising that's  all it is ,so don’t give it too much thought,  it will go away” his wife Mary said.
Later in the day smiling at a joke Abel’s face suddenly contorted in pain his eyes rolled backwards and in an instant he passed away
“Abel, Abel” his wife shouted anxiously as she ran forward to catch his lifeless form.
“O my god what's happening!” she left his limp body to rest on its own and ran to fetch the  doc next door
“There was no more pulse he’s gone”. He confirmed turning to catch Mary as she hit floor.
Shocked and frightened she kept repeating over and over again
“I can’t believe it”, burying her head into her hands and sobbing profusely.
“He was here one moment and gone in the next,
He was so healthy and full of energy and always so pleased with himself."
"Death where did you come from?
How did you sneak into my house and catch us unawares?
Without warning or ringing the doorbell
You came in like a thief and took his spirit away.”
The doctor in an attempt to comfort her pulled her up from the ground
“Our days are numbered Mary”, holding her and spoke gently as he looked straight into her bewildered eyes
“We got to go when we have to
Haven’t you read what the scripture says?
Psalm 90:10 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
10 The span of our life is seventy years,
or if we are strong, eighty;
yet at best it is toil and sorrow,
over in a moment, and then we are gone.
Job 14:5-7 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 5
Since his days are fixed in advance,
The number of his months is known to you, and you have fixed the limits which he can’t cross;
“Abel's set time came and he had to go..
His story on earth may have ended but a new one in heaven has just begun.
There are still chapters left in your story. Mary. So you need to compose yourself to face this moment of grief as best as you can now and for the rest of your life...
 P.S. Be prepared dearly beloved. We are like grass, here today and gone tomorrow.
Let each moment count and don’t take your days on earth for granted....
