You will prosper as Your soul prospers

Miranda lay in bed staring out of the window
Sunlight beams poured into the room.
It was a beautiful sight to see of fresh flowers dancing in the wind.
But Miranda stared out blankly totally unmoved by the beauty around her.
Her mum walked into her room and pulled up a chair and gently stroked her hair
“How is it you are spending more and more time in bed it’s the fourth day now you have got up late for school.
What’s wrong she asked?
“Nothing...the young girl replied turning her head to the wall.
“C’mon tell me it’s only then I can help you
“Dahlia said she never wanted to see me again”.
She looks at me with contempt in school and says all kind of mean things about me to everyone.
She is treating me like an enemy.”
“Why is that mother asked?
You two were inseparable since you were toddlers.
“I felt what she was going to do was going to harm her so I didn’t support her
So she got angry.”
“Is that why you are so downcast”? Mother asked
In the bible, mother continued, David was hounded by King Saul
He had to be in hiding all the time as Saul was so bent on destroying him.
But David in spite of doing nothing wrong
Never let the circumstances get to him.
He kept his eyes steadfast to the Lord
And commanded his soul to bless the Lord
-psalms -5-9 CJB
4) I am surrounded by lions,
I am lying down among people breathing fire,
men whose teeth are spears and arrows
and their tongues sharp-edged swords.
(5) be exalted, God, above heaven!
May your glory be over all the earth!
(6) they prepared a snare for my feet,
but I am bending over [to avoid it].
They dug a pit ahead of me,
but they fell into it themselves. (Selah)
(7) my heart is steadfast, God, steadfast.
I will sing and make music.
(8) Awake, my glory! Awake, lyre and lute!
I will awaken the dawn.
“Gather your spirits, girl and preserve your soul ,
as the bible says in 3 John 1:2 KJV
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Mercy Rewrote My Life

The man was bludgeoning through life

Determined to achieve his vision somehow.

With Faith in his heart

Confessing the Word of God with his mouth

He was constantly moving constantly striving

So sure he was as he keeps striding the shut doors will swing open

Mountains looming in front of him will miraculously disappear

If there was a bridge to be passed a boat will appear to take him across

Funds he will need will just ooze into his hands

All things are possible to him who believes he would say.

God in his infinite wisdom

Caught him by the collar

Slow down slow down my boy not so fast there is a lot you need to learn

And sure enough sickness came his way

This arrested his movements

It was a long slow recovery

A rest from his dreams

His daily routine was rerouted.

New tasks he never had to do before

He had to do now.

"Lord what is this why this halt

You know the long journey I have to go"! he would complain

To keep his focus to keep himself from giving up

He exposed himself to study.

That when he realised why the period of rest came

Philemon 6 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

6 [And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus [and unto His glory].

Mercy rewrote my life he once said to his friend

It was just all about selfish me all the time

My goals, my dreams, my vision

I would have lost my life in my sickness considering the load of stress I was drawing to myself by the minute

But now I understand the greater calling of my life

To share the about God‘s Mercy to one and all.

It was just another day

It was the day right after their anniversary
The wishes were still pouring in
The memory of their celebrations were still fresh in their minds
It was just another day nothing unusual except a pain on his shoulder as Abel got up from bed
“You strain yourself too much dear while exercising that's  all it is ,so don’t give it too much thought,  it will go away” his wife Mary said.
Later in the day smiling at a joke Abel’s face suddenly contorted in pain his eyes rolled backwards and in an instant he passed away
“Abel, Abel” his wife shouted anxiously as she ran forward to catch his lifeless form.
“O my god what's happening!” she left his limp body to rest on its own and ran to fetch the  doc next door
“There was no more pulse he’s gone”. He confirmed turning to catch Mary as she hit floor.
Shocked and frightened she kept repeating over and over again
“I can’t believe it”, burying her head into her hands and sobbing profusely.
“He was here one moment and gone in the next,
He was so healthy and full of energy and always so pleased with himself."
"Death where did you come from?
How did you sneak into my house and catch us unawares?
Without warning or ringing the doorbell
You came in like a thief and took his spirit away.”
The doctor in an attempt to comfort her pulled her up from the ground
“Our days are numbered Mary”, holding her and spoke gently as he looked straight into her bewildered eyes
“We got to go when we have to
Haven’t you read what the scripture says?
Psalm 90:10 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
10 The span of our life is seventy years,
or if we are strong, eighty;
yet at best it is toil and sorrow,
over in a moment, and then we are gone.
Job 14:5-7 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 5
Since his days are fixed in advance,
The number of his months is known to you, and you have fixed the limits which he can’t cross;
“Abel's set time came and he had to go..
His story on earth may have ended but a new one in heaven has just begun.
There are still chapters left in your story. Mary. So you need to compose yourself to face this moment of grief as best as you can now and for the rest of your life...
P.S. Be prepared dearly beloved. We are like grass, here today and gone tomorrow.
Let each moment count and don’t take your days on earth for granted....

Every Tree a Forest

Can you see a forest every time you see a tree?

Can you see your vision unfolding itself every time you see your dream?

Can you see your growth exploding before you even started?

Can you see yourself wearing a crown every time you have to drag your cross through life?

Can you see generations coming from your lineage before you had a single child?

Can you see your products hitting the shores of every nation even before a single one left your door?

Can you see your name written in the Lambs book of life and live each day of your life as if it was your last?

Can you see the goals and milestones marked out at every bend in your life are in sync with the purpose the creator has put in your heart.?

If you are not able to see the end from the beginning then please do for that’s what God does

Isaiah 46:10Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

10 At the beginning I announce the end,
proclaim in advance things not yet done;
and I say that my plan will hold,
I will do everything I please to do.

The Assignment

The tall dark handsome young man walked to where his mother was
Making her sit in the sofa under the portrait of her dead husband Admiral Levinsky holding her shoulders and looking deep into her dark eyes he said.
“I know you would not like it ma but
I’ve signed up to join the navy.
And would be leaving in a week’s time.
I know leaving you alone in the world is not something I would like to do
But the more I have prayed asking god for the assignment of my life and the more I feel drawn to serve my country.”
Dumb struck mum gently wiped her eyes and stroked her son’s head at the same time reciting from Jeremiah 1:4 CJB
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
“To die a noble death like father and grandfather serving others and dying for my county mother is what I want.” the son continued.
“Sorry for being selfish and wanting you to be always near me, son.
I should have realized you are your father’s son and you would have such lofty ideals like he had,
I will never stand in the way for what god has called you son and for his purposes for which he created you ”. Saying this
She walked slowly to her room it was time to ask God for a fresh assignment for her life to fill up the lonely days that was ahead.

The Gift

It was New Year’s Eve as the young girl
Was rushing with her work
Mopping the hospital floors
Her mind went back to the days her father was alive and the conversations they used to have
“Every one of us is born with a gift
Our contribution to the world “, he used to say
“Yes...dad"... she thought in her head "after you passed away
My gift is cleaning toilets you know."
In the prayer hall at the hospital the same day a young preacher was talking from
Ps 139:16 CJB
Your eyes could see me as an embryo,
but in your book all my days were already written;
my days had been shaped
before any of them existed.
God show me my gift she prayed
Surely I have a better future than mopping floors the whole day.
The next day while cleaning the toilets she was surprised when one of the senior doctors smiled at her
“You sing very well”, he told her.
”I do “she replied blushing deeply
“Whose song was it you were singing anyway “he asked “it’s my own Sir, the girl replied.
“You are a very gifted child
You should be at college”.
“I’m saving up for college Sir,” she replied in a low voice.
“Come meet me in my cabin let me see if I can help you “, he said.
That night the girl beamed as she wrote in her diary
In one day I discovered my gift and my future was revealed to me.
Thank you God she prayed.

Let me be there

Her disease grew on her and so did her fear
She clung to the one closest to her
"Please don’t go” she said.
Clinging to them like a little child.
She would fret and fume if they went away.
“I know my feet are wobbling and I can barely stand on my own.
The words I speak can hardly be understood.
I know you all have your own lives to live
But all I ask you is to let me be there.
Let me be there to see your faces
Let me be there to hear your voices
The time is coming soon when the world will blank out on me
But till then all I ask
Is let me be there.”
Isaiah 46:3 CJB
“Listen to me, house of Yaakov,
all who remain of the house of Israel:
I have borne you from birth,
carried you since the womb.
Till your old age I will be the same —

I will carry you until your hair is white.
I have made you, and I will bear you;
yes, I will carry and save you.
To whom will you liken me and equate me?

With whom will you compare me, as if we were similar?”
Closing her eyes, the tears fell,
“I’m sorry Lord, she said
From my youth, you have been with me,
Through my trials you have never left me.
I know till my grave, you will carry me.”
