Miriam stood rooted to the
ground.
A big explosion had just
taken place in her heart.
Pain, disbelief, and rivers
of agony engulfed her all at once.
With heart pounding heavily
and beating wildly,
She called out to Anna, her
motherly housekeeper.
“Can you believe David
would do this to me after all these years we have been together.”?
She cried,
little hysterically, “It’s a love letter written
by him to someone called Agnes."
"Indeed it is,
Anna said, going through the contents and inspecting each and every word.
“Child, she said, gently
holding the weeping younger woman in her arms.
“You need to build your
life on the rock," she said ,gently stroking her head
"So that you can still
keep standing strong when the storms of life hit at you”.
“Do you think it will help

Looking up at her through shattered
tears and a shattered world.
“Yes, child lets open God’s
word and hear its precious comforting words.”

And your land Be‘ulah
[Married].
For Adonai delights
in you,
And your land will be married.
Just then they heard the
hurried footsteps
David rushed into the room
and pressed his wife against him
“Honey, the letter which I
wrote to Agnes 15 years back before our marriage,
Seemed to have found its
way back to the house.
I don’t know if you have seen it yet.
You know if she hadn’t died
so unexpectedly like the way she did she would have been my wife.
But then,
God gave me something even more priceless."
“You", he said, looking intently into her deep brown eyes ,
"Are the delight of my soul.", speechless
she looked at Anna.
Who winked and whispered
“build your life henceforth on the rock”, looking at the open bible
Miriam nodded back and
whispered “Yes, yes .I will!
